Vad har du gillat mest med Xamera Talent?
Det är faktiskt två saker. Att få tillfälle att träffa andra personer som är i samma karriärstadium som jag själv, har varit superintressant och lärorikt. Jag gillar också att jag, som är ny på arbetsmarknaden, har fått chansen att reflektera och utveckla mig själv på ett professionellt sätt.
Använder du någonting som du lärt dig i programmet i ditt jobb?
Absolut. Jag använder mig numera av SAFT-modellen när jag organiserar möten för att göra dem tydligare och ha en plan att utgå ifrån. Jag vågar också ta upp fler saker som jag funderar över med min chef då jag har fått med mig bra verktyg för att ge och ta emot feedback.
Är du nöjd med din tid på Xamera?
Ja det är jag. Processen att hitta mitt jobb på Scania var väldigt snabb och smidig. Jag behövde inte leta upp jobbet utan blev kontaktad av Xamera där jag tidigare varit på karriärsamtal då de hittat en match till mig. En vecka senare gjorde jag min första dag på Scania!
Vad händer nu då Anes?
Nu går jag över till att bli direktanställd på Scania i samma roll som jag jobbat i hittills vilket känns jättebra. Jag ska dessutom göra mitt exjobb parallellt med jobbet så jag kommer ha fullt upp den närmaste tiden!

Where are you from Kieran and what brought you to Sweden?
I’m from the UK but I really prefer Sweden, so that’s why I’ve been here for five years and I plan on staying.
Are you using something that you have learned in the program, in your day-to-day work?
Yes! Several things. One example is when I first started at my job. There was this one guy who initially seemed very unapproachable to me. But in one of the first sessions of the program we discussed how different people have different energies and need to be met in different ways. I realized that he was the type of person that needs to be addressed in a more direct way, so I started to come to him with direct questions. Turns out he is actually quite nice!
We like to say that Xamera Talent is a fast track to work life experience. Do you agree?
Yeah, I think so. For me it has helped me open up. I’m naturally a quite shy person but during my time on Xamera Talent I have kind of been forced to be more social. It might sound a bit scary, but it really helped!
What have you liked the most about Xamera Talent?
For me, being a foreigner, the fact of getting to visit a new city for the trainings has been one of the highlights. But apart from that it has been the teachers and the chance to meet new people.
What would you say to someone thinking about accepting a position that is part of Xamera Talent?
Take it! It’s an experience where you get to meet new people while building on yourself!
What happens now Kieran?
As of Monday, I begin my employment with Volvo, continuing in the same role as I have been holding this past year. Feels great, I really like what I do!
